Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical composition, bioactive compounds and antioxidant capacity of juçara fruit (Euterpe edulis Martius) during ripening
Mayara Schulz,Graciele da Silva Campelo Borges,Luciano Valdemiro Gonzaga,Siluana Katia Tischer Seraglio,Isis Simon Olivo,Mônia Stremel Azevedo,Priscila Nehring,Jefferson Santos de Gois,Tarcísio S. Almeida,Luciano Vitali,Daniel A. Spudeit,Gustavo Amadeu Micke,Daniel L. G. Borges,Roseane Fett +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of ripening on individual phenolic compounds, total anthocyanins and antioxidant capacity of jucara fruit was evaluated, and the color, moisture, total protein, total lipids, fatty acids and mineral contents were also evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nutritional and bioactive potential of Myrtaceae fruits during ripening.
Siluana Katia Tischer Seraglio,Mayara Schulz,Priscila Nehring,Fabiana Della Betta,Andressa Camargo Valese,Heitor Daguer,Luciano Valdemiro Gonzaga,Roseane Fett,Ana Carolina Oliveira Costa +8 more
TL;DR: The results revealed that these fruits represent a supply of high-value nutrient and bioactive components, especially in the ripe stage, and showed expressive antioxidant capacity in both ripening stages.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development and validation of a LC-ESI-MS/MS method for the determination of phenolic compounds in honeydew honeys with the diluted-and-shoot approach.
Siluana Katia Tischer Seraglio,Andressa Camargo Valese,Heitor Daguer,Greici Bergamo,Mônia Stremel Azevedo,Luciano Valdemiro Gonzaga,Roseane Fett,Ana Carolina Oliveira Costa +7 more
TL;DR: A simple, reproducible and sensitive method has been optimized and validated for simultaneous determination of 32 phenolic compounds in bracatinga (M. scabrella Bentham) with the diluted-and-shoot approach, without the need of any additional clean-up steps.
Journal ArticleDOI
An overview of physicochemical characteristics and health-promoting properties of honeydew honey
Siluana Katia Tischer Seraglio,Bibiana Silva,Greici Bergamo,Patricia Brugnerotto,Luciano Valdemiro Gonzaga,Roseane Fett,Ana Carolina Oliveira Costa +6 more
TL;DR: The physicochemical characteristics, chemical and bioactive composition, functional and health-promoting properties of honeydew honey as well as contamination, adulteration and authenticity of this honey are summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of in vitro gastrointestinal digestion on the bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds, minerals, and antioxidant capacity of Mimosa scabrella Bentham honeydew honeys
Siluana Katia Tischer Seraglio,Andressa Camargo Valese,Heitor Daguer,Greici Bergamo,Mônia Stremel Azevedo,Priscila Nehring,Luciano Valdemiro Gonzaga,Roseane Fett,Ana Carolina Oliveira Costa +8 more
TL;DR: The bracatinga (Mimosa scabrella Benth.) honeydew honey can be highlighted as an important natural source of bioaccessible polyphenols, besides presenting highly bioaccessible minerals in its composition, maintaining a satisfactory antioxidant capacity.
