Journal ArticleDOI
Waking Up Buried Memories of Old TV Programs.
Christelle Larzabal,Christelle Larzabal,Nadège Bacon-Macé,Nadège Bacon-Macé,Sophie Muratot,Sophie Muratot,Simon J. Thorpe,Simon J. Thorpe +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that re-exposures to the stimuli are not necessary to maintain a memory for a lifetime, and raise fundamental questions about the underlying mechanisms used by the brain to store these very old sensory memories.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regularity is not a key factor for encoding repetition in rapid image streams
Evelina Thunell,Simon J. Thorpe +1 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that temporal regularity is not a key factor for detection and memory for repeating images in RSVP streams, and these findings have implications for models of repetition processing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measuring the receptive field sizes of the mechanisms underlying ultra-rapid saccades to faces
Rapid neural computation using single spikes and time-dependent EPSP modulation
TL;DR: Evidence for rapid neural computation in visual cortex are now available and the suggestion that firing rate is rarely in excess of one spike in a 5-10 ms period in cortex emphasizes this situation.
