Reliability Evaluation of Regression Model for Estimating Co-seismic Landslide Displacement
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used genetic algorithm and revolutionary algorithm to determine the relationship between seismic yield coefficient of slopes and other parameters with the use of genetic algorithm, simulation of the factors effective on slopes with specific statistical distribution applying Monte Carlo simulation using random number generator, and finally determining the slopes failure probability based on allowable co-seismic slope displacement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Land Subsidence Susceptibility Zonation of Isfahan Plain Based on Geological Bedrock Layer
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the depth of the bedrock layer on the land subsidence of the Isfahan plain was studied and the results indicated that the most of the historical buildings are located in very low risk and low-risk areas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reliability Assessment of Shallow Foundation Stability Under Eccentric Load Using Monte Carlo and First Order Second Moment Method
TL;DR: In this article, an analytical model defining soil-foundation probability of failure with respect to total system stability was developed, where soil geotechnical properties of the internal friction angle, unit weight, cohesion strength and modulus of elasticity were considered as random variables and the reliability analysis of the system was calculated using Monte Carlo simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of the Effect of an Inclined Bedrock on the Bearing Capacity of Shallow Foundations
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of various parameters such as soil geotechnical properties and geometrical specifications on the ultimate bearing capacity of a shallow foundation on an inclined bedrock, in order to obtain a new equation for determining the bearing capacity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Study of the Effects of Bedrock on the Square Skirted Shallow Foundations Behavior
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of existence of a bedrock on the behavior of a square shallow foundation was explored, and the results showed a linear growth in ultimate bearing capacity ratio in variation of depth of the bedrock layer corresponding to different skirt length, while the increment rates are different in different soil relative density.
