Hexachromatic bioinspired camera for image-guided cancer surgery.
Steven Blair,Missael Garcia,Tyler Davis,Zhongmin Zhu,Zuodong Liang,Christian J. Konopka,Kevin Kauffman,Risto Colanceski,Imran Ferati,Borislav Kondov,Sinisa Stojanoski,Magdalena Bogdanovska Todorovska,Natasha Toleska Dimitrovska,Nexhat Jakupi,Daniela Miladinova,Gordana Petrusevska,Goran Kondov,Wawrzyniec Dobrucki,Shuming Nie,Viktor Gruev +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a six-channel color/near-infrared image sensor inspired by the mantis shrimp visual system was developed for image-guided surgery using a single-chip imaging system that integrates arrays of vertically stacked silicon photodetectors and pixelated spectral filters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of Thyroid Dysfunction on Serum Cystatin C, Serum Creatinine and Glomerular Filtration Rate
Sinisa Stojanoski,Daniela Pop Gjorceva,Todor Gruev,Svetlana Ristevska-Miceva,Nevena Ristevska +4 more
TL;DR: The significant difference between GFR values assessed by the isotope technique and values assess by the serum markers indicates that further work needs to be performed to confirm which method is giving the true reflection of GFR in thyroid dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tissue-Muscle Perfusion Scintigraphy of the Lower Limbs in a Patient with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Peripheral Arterial Disease.
Nevena Manevska,Daniela Pop Gjorceva,Irfan Ahmeti,Lidija Todorovska,Sinisa Stojanoski,Marina Zdraveska Kocovska +5 more
TL;DR: A case of a 71-year-old male diabetic patient with skin ulcers of the right foot and an ankle-brachial index >1.2 and a noninvasive, functional method of 99mTc-MIBI (methoxy-isobutyl-isonitrile) tissue-muscle perfusion scintigraphy of the lower limbs, which assesses tissue perfusion in basal conditions and exercise conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selenium Treatment Effect in Auto-Immune Hashimoto Thyroiditis in Macedonian Population
TL;DR: Selenium treatment is effective in reducing the levels of aTPO in patients with HT, alone or in combination with levothyroxine, due to the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effect of Se.
Journal ArticleDOI
Appearance of Hürthle cell carcinoma soon after surgical extirpation of Hürthle cell adenoma and follicular adenoma of the thyroid gland.
TL;DR: Patients with cytological diagnosis of Hürthle cell neoplasms should proceed to total thyroidectomy, especially if tumour size is > 1cm, FNAB findings comprise cellular atypias and/or multiple bilateral nodules are detected in the thyroid gland.
