TL;DR: The applicability of a general theory of deviant behavior to explaining drug use among junior high school students is tested using data from a three-wave panel and the results are consistent with the representation of drug use as the outcome of student's recognition of the self-devaluing implications of membership group experiences.

Predictors of medication noncompliance in a sample of older adults.

TL;DR: Noncompliance with prescribed medications was significantly associated with higher socioeconomic status, greater number of prescribed medications, and higher psychological stress, but there was no relationship between compliance and living arrangements, health, life satisfaction, number of illnesses, age, or sex.

Escalation of marijuana use: application of a general theory of deviant behavior.

TL;DR: The later one tries marijuana, the less likely to become a regular user, and seventh-grade measures of peer acceptance and avoidant defensive tendencies directly predict escalation of marijuana use, while other seventh- grade measures have indirect effects on escalation of use.
