Fracture Mechanics of Concrete: Applications of Fracture Mechanics to Concrete, Rock and Other Quasi-Brittle Materials

TL;DR: Fracture Mechanics and Compressive Failure: Fracture Mechanics for Concrete Structures and Fracture Resistance Curves (R-Curves) for Quasi-Brittle Materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fracture and Tensile Characteristics of Asphalt-Rubber Concrete

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the tensile and fracture properties of asphalt-rubber (AR) concrete mixtures that formed the basis for the recommendation of an optimum asphalt mixture design incorporating crumb rubber from scrap tires was performed.

Micromechanics of failure of quasi-brittle materials

TL;DR: In this article, failure localization and damage model for micromechanics of geological materials ceramics, ice dynamic study I - response interface mechanics dynamic study II - energy release mechanisms of concrete.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compliance Monitoring of Crack Growth in Concrete

TL;DR: In this article, a compliance calibration curve was used to determine the extent of cracking in eight concrete beams that were fatigue loaded, of which six were subsequently statically loaded to failure and used to estimate the effective fracture toughness based on a test procedure for metal specimens.
