Journal ArticleDOI

The computed characteristics of turbulent flow and convection in concentric circular annuli. Part IV: Generalizations

TL;DR: In this paper, generalized predictive equations for uniform heating on the inner wall and the Nusselt numbers for most of the other thermal boundary conditions that occur in practice are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

The computed characteristics of turbulent flow and convection in concentric circular annuli. Part III. Alternative thermal boundary conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, numerical predictions of the Nusselt number were presented for annuli with uniform heating of the outer surface only, uniform equal heating of both surfaces, and uniform cooling of one surface and equal cooling of the other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Transport on Reactions in Homogeneous Tubular Flow

TL;DR: In this article, numerical solutions have been carried out for representative conditions in a tubular reactor in fully developed laminar and turbulent flow, taking into account the radial transport of both species and energy by molecular and turbulent fluctuations for the combination of energetic reactions and heat exchange with the surroundings.
Journal ArticleDOI

THE FORMATION OF THERMAL AND FUEL NOx FOR RADIANTLY STABILIZED COMBUSTION

TL;DR: In this article, a complete range of equivalence ratios was investigated for hexane droplets, vaporized completely prior to combustion, and the formation of NOx from these materials was found to be independent of the residence time in the post-flame zone.
