Journal ArticleDOI

Irrigation frequency and amount affect yield and quality of field-grown melon (cucumis melo l.)

TL;DR: In this article, the most suitable irrigation frequency and quantity for field-grown melon were determined based on pan evaporation (E pan ) from a screened Class-A pan, and four different irrigation treatments employing two different irrigation intervals (I 1: 6 days; I 2: 12 days) and two different plant-pan coefficients (K cp 1: 0.60; K cp 2: 090) were tested.
Journal ArticleDOI

Irrigation scheduling based on pan evaporation values for cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) grown under field conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to determine the most suitable irrigation frequency and quantity in cucumber grown under field conditions, and the amount of water used was based on pan evaporation from a screened Class-A pan.
Journal ArticleDOI

Responses of some different pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes to inoculation with two different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

TL;DR: A great variation in mycorrhizal colonization dependency was observed among the pepper genotypes, with the N52 genotype showing the highest RMD and the Karaisali genotype the lowest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of genetic diversity in Turkish melons ( Cucumis melo L.) based on phenotypic characters and RAPD markers

TL;DR: Both analyses (phenotypic and molecular) indicated that non-sweet melon types were dissimilar from sweet types and diversity of Turkish melon genotypes was higher than that of sweet foreign cultivars examined, but similar to that of the reference accessions employed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Irrigation frequency and amount affect yield components of summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.)

TL;DR: In this paper, the most suitable irrigation frequencies and quantities in summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L. cv. Sakiz) grown under field conditions were determined based on pan evaporation from a screened class-A pan.
