Hepatitis C microelimination among people living with HIV in Taiwan

TL;DR: Significant declines of HCV viremia among PLWH with the expansion of the DAA treatment programme in Taiwan are observed and further improvement of the access to DAA retreatments is warranted to achieve the goal ofHCV microelimination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differentiation of Cytopathic Effects (CPE) induced by influenza virus infection using deep Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN).

TL;DR: A simple CNN model was established to enhance the identification of influenza virus in clinical practice by utilizing convolutional neural networks to shorten the timing required for CPE identification and to improve the assay sensitivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seroepidemiology of novel influenza A (H1N1) infection among HIV-infected patients in the era of highly active antiretroviral therapy.

TL;DR: HIV-infected patients demonstrated a lower seroprevalence of novel influenza A infection than HIV-un infected patients in Taiwan in the HAART era, and seroconversion to novel influenza B virus, which was infrequent during the 2009 influenza epidemic, was associated with heterosexual behavior and baseline HI titer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential Impact of Resistance-Associated Mutations to Protease Inhibitors and Nonnucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors on HIV-1 Replication Capacity

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of drug resistance on HIV-1 replication capacity have been studied, but data from clinical isolates are few, and the authors accessed the patients with HIV infection at the National Taiwan University Hospital who experienced virological failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

SARS-CoV-2 infection among healthcare workers whom already received booster vaccination during epidemic outbreak of omicron variant in Taiwan

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the prevalence and risk factors of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection among HCWs during epidemic outbreak of omicron variant in Taiwan.
