The purpose of the present study is to investigate martial arts practitioners’ satisfaction with their current uniforms and purchase intention of new uniforms. A total of 588 martial arts practitioners were recruited via Amazon Mechanical Turk, including 401 men and 187 women. The results indicated that martial art practitioners were satisfied with their current uniforms when three functional attributes were good: quality, fit, and comfort. The aesthetic variable, fashion, only moderately influenced satisfaction with the current uniforms. However, when purchasing new uniforms, both functional and aesthetic attributes were essential factors. In addition, benefits of martial arts and protection from injury were two necessary conditions for commitment to martial arts. However, neither commitment to martial arts or satisfaction with the current uniform contributed to purchase intention of new uniforms. The purchase intention was only related to the characteristics of the new uniforms: whether the new uniforms can enhance practitioners’ functional performance and aesthetic appearance. The present study, for the first time, revealed marital arts practitioners’ strong desire of protection: protection strongly contributed to expected performance, expected appearance, and commitment to martial arts.

Rapidly diversifying dynamics of the consumer purchasing behaviors make to access to the target population in the retail industry and sell product to this target population difficult. Window displays which helps creating and maintaining the general image of the retailer enterprises in the minds of the consumer are attracting for the consumers by using the superiority of purchasing site. Window displays are among the shop communication elements which should not be ignored by the retailers as these have the ability to encourage entrance into shop. Window displays serve to the purpose of promotion and information on such elements as product, price and quality, which are at the focus of the utilitarian behavior. Meanwhile, window displays also respond to the hedonic shopping behaviors such as wonder, excitement, entertainment, feeling well and spending time. Consumers of the Y Generation in particular focuses on consuming and has complex tastes and shopping behaviors. In this regard, this study focuses on determining the impact of window displays of apparel brands on the hedonic, utilitarian shopping behaviors of Y generation and their purchasing decisions. Fazla kilo, vucutta asiri yag depolanmasi ile ortaya cikan, fiziksel ve ruhsal sorunlara neden olabilen bir enerji metabolizmasi  bozuklugu olup sosyoekonomik duzeyi iyi olan bircok ulkede ortak sorun haline gelmistir. Bilindigi uzere ulkemizde pazarlanan cocuk  giysileri, normal vucut olculerine sahip cocuklar dikkate alinarak uretilmistir. Oysa fazla kilosu olan ve ozellikle obezite sinifina giren  cocuklar, tum giysilerini cok daha buyuk yaslar icin uretilmis giysiler arasindan secmek durumundadirlar. Bu da cocuklarin  psikolojilerini olumsuz yonde etkilemekte, olasi tadilat nedeniyle aileye fazladan maddi bir yuk getirmekte ve vucut hareket konforlari  uzerinde olumsuz etkilere yol acmaktadir. Tum bu sorunlar dikkate alindiginda uretim yelpazesinin bu alaninda onemli bir bosluk  bulunmaktadir. Bu makale kapsaminda fazla kiloya sahip cocuklara yonelik olcu tablolari olusturulmus ve bu olculere gore giysi  kaliplari calisilmistir. Boylece kilolu, hatta obez olan cocuklar icin uretim yapilmasi ve magazalarda bu cocuklara yonelik ara bedenlerin  yer almasi icin farkindalik olusturulmasi amaclanmistir.

Giyim uretiminde meydana gelen teknolojik gelismeler;  cesitli sektorlere yonelik ozellikleri olan giysilerin uretilebilmesine olanak vermistir. Boylece is giysisi kavrami ortaya cikmistir. Gerceklestirilen bu calismada; tarim sektorunde calisanlar icin; is verimliligini arttiran, calisani sektorden kaynaklanan risklere karsi koruyan, bunun yaninda calisanin vucut uzuvlarinin rahat hareket etmesini de saglayan giysiler gelistirmek amaclanmistir.Arastirmada, oncelikle, tarim sektorunde calisanlarin is giysilerinden beklentilerinin belirlenmesine yonelik bir anket calismasi yapilmistir. Elde edilen verilerden yola cikilarak, tarim isletmelerinde giyilebilecek, hem calisanin sagligini ve guvenligini koruyan hem de hareket kolayligi saglayan giysiler gelistirilmistir.Yeni gelistirilen bu giysilerin genel durus ve vucuda uyumunu degerlendirmek amaciyla, sekiz erkek ve sekiz kadin gonulluye bu giysiler giydirilmis ve olusturulan subjektif skala ile gonullulerin giysiler hakkindaki gorusleri elde edilmistir. Subjektif giyim denemesi sonuclari, unisex isciliginin tarim iscilerine yonelik tasarlanabilecegini gostermektedir. Arastirmanin evrenini, Turkiye’de amator olarak kosu sporuyla ilgilenen kadin ve erkek kosucular olusturmaktadir. Arastirmada amacli ornekleme tekniklerinden biri olan kartopu orneklemesi kullanilmis ve 189 kosuya anket uygulanmistir. Arastirma sonucunda; atletlerin kosu giysilerinde en cok fiziksel rahatlik ve hafiflige onem verdikleri ve performanslarini en cok etkileyen iki ozellik olarak belirttikleri tespit edilmistir. Atletlerin kosu giysilerinde en cok yasadiklari sorunlarin, cabuk deforme olma, serin tutma ozelligine sahip olmama, terletme ve nopelenme oldugu, hareket kolayligi ve vucuda uyum saglama ve ise kosu giysilerinden beklenen ilk iki ozellik oldugu saptanmistir. Nowadays; rapidly growing national and intrnational competition have become a threat to the ready made clothing shops. For this reason, ready made clothing shops are competing with each other, and giving great importance to shopwindows to attract the customer's interest to the shops. This research has been prepared to determine the important criterias at the design of shopwindows and to determine the positive effects of these criterias at the sales. Moreover, this research has also been prepared to determine the effects of the shopwindows on customers. Survey method has been used at this research. This research has been done in ready made clothing shops that is activating in the three big metropols in Turkey; i.e. Ankara, Ystanbul, Yzmir. 79 shops and 506 customers shopping in these shops are got the stage of determining the research specimen. When the results have been evaluated to understand the importance of shopwindows for shops, It has been seen that an effective shopwindow design is very important for the sales of shops. It has also been seen that shops give importance to every shopwindow design criteria especially for special lightning and showing campaigns.When the results have been evaluated to understand the importance of shopwindows for customers, It has been seen that customers are affected by all shopwindow features except mannequins and decoration objects. It has also been seen that customers are affected more from shopwindows at new seasons.

Giysi konforu, kullanici performansini etkileyen parametrelerden biridir. Konfor saglayan is giysilerinin tasariminin ve uretiminin yapilabilmesi icin, giysinin kullanim alanlari-amacinin bilinmesi, kullanici beklentilerinin dikkate alinmasi, fonksiyonel ve estetik tasarim ozelliklerini tasimasi gereklidir. Bu arastirmanin amaci, Ceza Infaz Kurumlari`nda gorev yapan infaz ve koruma memurlarinin uniformalarindan model, kumas, kalip ve dikim ozellikleri konusunda yasadiklari sorunlari tespit etmektir. Arastirmada, Ankara Sincan Cezaevi Kampusu` ndeki kurumlarda gorev yapan 234 infaz ve koruma memuruna anket uygulanmistir. Arastirma sonucunda; tisort ve pantolonda en cok rahatliga, montta ise dayanikliliga onem verdikleri gorulmustur. Rahatlik duzeyi en dusuk olan urunun pantolon oldugu, yazlik tisortte kumas renginden, kislik tisortte kumas dokusundan, montta model ozelliginden, pantolonda ise hareketleri kisitlamasindan rahatsiz olduklari belirlenmistir. Uniformada kalip formundan kaynaklanan sorunlarla cinsiyet arasinda anlamli bir iliski oldugu saptanmistir.

Bu arastirmanin amaci, 6–16 yas arasi obez cocuklarin ve ergenlerin giysilerde tercih ettigi ozellikleri belirlemektir. Arastirma kapsaminda, Gazi Universitesi Hastanesi Endokrinoloji bolumunde kayitli hastalar arasindan 6–16 yas araligindaki 52 cocuga anket uygulanmistir. Anket uygulamasi sonucu elde edilen veriler cinsiyet ve yas degiskeni dikkate alinarak capraz tablolarda verilmis ve degiskenler arasindaki istatistiksel iliskinin analizi icin χ² ve Fisher Exact testi yapilmistir. Bulgulara gore, 6–16 yas arasindaki obez cocuklarin ve genclerin alisverislerinde en cok giysinin beden olculerine uygun olmasina, hareketlerini engellememesine onem verdikleri, giysi turu olarak pantolonu, renklerden maviyi, elastik kumas turunu tercih ettikleri belirlenmistir. Pantolonlarda tercih edilen ozellikler acisindan bakildiginda kizlarda kot, erkeklerde cepli modeller one cikmistir. Gomleklerde beden bolgesinin bol olmasi tercih edilmistir. Bu arastirmanin sonuclari obez cocuklar ve gencler, giyim sektoru ve ozellikle aileler icin onemlidir
