Effects of olanzapine, risperidone and haloperidol on sleep after a single oral morning dose in healthy volunteers.
Sandra Giménez,Susana Clos,Sergio Romero,Eva Grasa,Adelaida Morte,Manuel J. Barbanoj,Manuel J. Barbanoj +6 more
TL;DR: Antipsychotics showed different sleep changes as their neurochemical profiles were distinct and these changes were observed even when the drug was administered 15 h before going to bed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Daytime Ayahuasca administration modulates REM and slow-wave sleep in healthy volunteers
TL;DR: Results show that daytime serotonergic psychedelic drug administration leads to measurable changes in PSG and sleep power spectrum and suggest an interaction between these drugs and brain circuits modulating REM and SWS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of Sleep Disorders in Adults With Down Syndrome: A Comparative Study of Self-Reported, Actigraphic, and Polysomnographic Findings
Sandra Giménez,Laura Videla,Sergio Romero,Bessy Benejam,Susana Clos,Susana Fernández,Maribel Martínez,Maria Carmona-Iragui,Rosa M. Antonijoan,Mercedes Mayos,Ana María Fortuna,Patricia Peñacoba,Vicente Plaza,Ricardo S. Osorio,Ram A. Journal ArticleDOI
Sleep laboratory study on single and repeated dose effects of paroxetine, alprazolam and their combination in healthy young volunteers.
Manuel J. Barbanoj,Susana Clos,Sergio Romero,Adelaida Morte,Sandra Giménez,José Luis Lorenzo,Antonio Luque,Rafael Dal-Ré +7 more
TL;DR: The high agreement rate for the epoch-by-epoch comparison between automatic and human scoring confirms the validity of the Somnolyzer 24x7 and thus facilitates sleep studies in neuropsychopharmacological research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sex differences in sleep after a single oral morning dose of olanzapine in healthy volunteers
Sandra Giménez,Sergio Romero,Ignasi Gich,Susana Clos,Eva Grasa,Antonijoan Rosa-María,M.J. Barbanoj +6 more
TL;DR: This study aimed to determine whether sex differences in antipsychotic‐induced effects on sleep could contribute to this difference in clinical outcome in women with schizophrenia.
