Ability of physico‐chemical measure‐ments to discriminate rabbit meat from three different productive processes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify a limited number of physico-chemical measurements that could differentiate rabbit meat from three different rearing systems: standard production system, high quality norm system or a very low growth breeding system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of feeding strategy and diet for reproductive rabbit does on intake, performances, and health of young and females before and after weaning.
Tehya Read,Sylvie Combes,Thierry Gidenne,Nicolas Destombes,K. Bébin,Elodie Balmisse,Laurence Fortun-Lamothe +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that stimulating milk production through the incorporation of fat at the beginning of lactation offers few benefits for females and had a negative effect on early solid feed intake, which could explain animal health after weaning.
The ruminal level of trans-10 fatty acids of dairy cows is linked to the composition of bacterial community
Asma Zened,Sylvie Combes,Laurent Cauquil,Christine Rousseau,Christophe Klopp,Annabelle Troegeler-Meynadier,Francis Enjalbert +6 more
TL;DR: The ruminal level of trans-10 fatty acids of dairy cows is linked to the composition of bacterial community and it is shown that dairy cows with high ruminal levels contain higher levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids than other dairy animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insights into suckling rabbit feeding behaviour: acceptability of different creep feed presentations and attractiveness for sensory feed additives.
Charlotte Paës,L. Fortun-Lamothe,Gérard Coureaud,K. Bébin,J. Duperray,C. Gohier,Emeline Guené-Grand,G. Rebours,Patrick Aymard,C. Bannelier,A. Debrusse,Thierry Gidenne,Sylvie Combes +12 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed that providing creep feed promotes the solid intake of rabbits at early stages and Gel feed form motivated rabbits to eat and vanilla flavour supplementation increased the feed palatability.
Tendreté mécanique du muscle longissimus dorsi de lapin : étude méthodologique
TL;DR: In this article, a methode de cisaillement du muscle longissimus dorsi (LD) entier de lapin is presented. But, the methode is not defined, nor is LD entiers congelable, and it is assumed that the congelation entraine une diminution de the valeur absolue de tous les parametres of mesures.
