Modeling of Snow flow

TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical computer model based on the finite differencing of the Navier-Stokes fluid equations is used to simulate snow-avalanche flow, and the frictional force on moving snow is investigated and found to be modeled by a term that is proportional to the square of the flow velocity.
