A Review of Sustainable E-Waste Generation and Management: Present and Future Perspectives

Integrated quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems (IMS) are well known and deployed by various industries with different level of success. Still, a very limited number of theoretical and empirical research focuses on the interrelation between IMS and sustainable development. The authors consider IMS a tool for implementing the concept of sustainable development at the organisation level. The aim of the paper is to analyse how IMS should be designed so that it can be used for building a socially responsible organisation that contributes to sustainable development. Several research methods, such as the analysis of academic and professional publications, and logical and comparative analysis are applied in this research, and a survey on the depth of IMS integration was developed and distributed among organisations in Latvia that have an IMS. Estimating the Amount of Electronic Waste Generated in Indonesia: Population Balance Model

Quality of recycled plastic is usually below than its virgin material. Status of quality compared to its virgin material quality helps producers and consumers to ensure viability of the material both as a manufacturing product as well as a raw material. A set of material testing result table accompanied with radar chart of its ratios proposed as a tool in representing quality indicator of a recycled plastic. An easy identification of lower and lowest quality and also better quality in certain material characteristics help producers and consumers to make a fast evaluation and further decision related to recycled plastic quality improvement and its proper utilization as raw material.

Implementation of quality, safety, occupational health and environment management system were done partially in Indonesia. In this research, I would like to present integrated management system. Integrated management system mentioned in this paper is integration between quality management system, environment management system, health and safety management system in organization of construction company. Most of the research done in manufacturing sector not discuss about the implementation of integrated management system in realizing improving organization performance, especially in improving organization performance sustainability in construction company. For improving organization performance, it need to consider knowledge management and information system in integrated management system. Hopefully, it can be one of the key successes to improve organization performance especially in construction company. Information system is recognized to be one of the most important supported to implementation of integration management system. This research will produce integrated management system concept model to increase organization performance using information system: agent based modelling.

Information System Development on Web-Based in Integrated Management System Through Improving Knowledge Management to Increase Organization Performance of Construction Company (A Conceptual Framework)

Globalisation makes all organisation must have a robust management system to manage their organisation. The implementation of integrated management system (quality, health and safety, environment management systems) began in the manufacturing industry, then currently being researched for its application in the construction industry. If the risk can be recognised and managed well, it will become a strategy for improving organisational performance. Therefore, this study will discuss risks that can arise in integrated management system process that causes increasing organisational performance. This research uses relative important index to know the highest risk. Results explain the variables/clauses to improve organisational performance are scope of organisation and leadership. Construction company must be able to motivation their worker by its leadership in doing integrated management system and to define scope of organization, especially integrated work breakdown structure in integrated management system.

Development of integration risk on integrated management system in order to increase organisational performance of construction company

Construction project inevitably consumes resources and generates large amounts of waste, hence the efforts to achieve sustainable construction are required. The integration of multiple management systems, information flow analysis, and optimization of operational processes will reinforce sustainable knowledge (science of sustainability). The absence of the management of consumption of resources and construction waste can be a serious problem for the environment, on the contrary management can generate profits. One of the keys to success in realizing sustainable construction is through the integrated management systems. Integrated management system potentially reduces the construction waste due to construction failure. Previous studies have discussed the suitable management model for sustainable development. Most of these studies are interpreted in the form of regression equations and multivariate form. However, only few discuss about the implementation of integrated management system in achieving sustainable construction. Therefore, this research used structural equation method to reveal the most suitable integrated management system related to sustainable construction.
