Synthesis, characterization, thermal and biological evaluation of Cu (II), Co (II) and Ni (II) complexes of azo dye ligand containing sulfamethaxazole moiety

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel bioactive Cu, Co and Ni complexes of the azo dye ligand (L) derived from sulfamethoxazole were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, FTIR, UV-visible, 1H NMR, mass, thermal and powder XRD spectral techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activity of Chalcone Derivatives Containing Thiobarbitone Nucleus

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the synthesis of novel series of 5]-1,3-bis (4- substituted phenyl) prop-2-en-1-ylidene]- 2-thioxodihydropyrimidine-4,6(1H, 5H)-diones (5a-k).
Journal Article

Preparation and Characterization of ZnO and Mg-ZnO nanoparticle

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of Mg-doped ZnO nanoparticles with diameters ranging from 50 to 100 nm via precipitation method was reported, and the surface morphology of synthesized material was investigated by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the elemental analysis by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX).
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile CAN catalyzed one pot synthesis of novel indol-5,8-pyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine derivatives and their pharmacological study

TL;DR: In silico molecular docking studies was performed to predict the binding interactions of synthetic molecules with appropriate target molecules in connection to their antimicrobial and anti-cancer effects, and compounds 4d, 4 g and 4 h were found to have effective antibacterial activity against the tested pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient L-Proline catalyzed synthesis of some new (4-substituted-phenyl)-1,5-dihydro-2H-pyrimido[4,5-d][1,3]thiazolo[3,2a]-pyrimidine-2,4(3H)-diones bearing thiazolopyrimidine derivatives and evaluation of their pharmacological activities

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and efficient protocol has been developed to synthesize a series of new (4-substituted-phenyl)-1,5-dihydro-2H-pyrimido derivatives (4a-g) through L -proline-catalyzed reaction of 2-amino-4-(4-saturatedphenyl)thiazole (1), substituted benzaldehyde (2) at a refluxed temperature in aqueous ethanol under mild and metal-free conditions.
