Hollow porous nanoparticles with Pt skin on a Ag–Pt alloy structure as a highly active electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction
TL;DR: In this article, a hollow porous Ag-Pt alloy nanoparticles with Pt coating are prepared via a facile controlled galvanic replacement reaction to reduce the dosage of noble metal Pt and improve the catalytic activity of the catalyst in fuel cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pt skin coated hollow Ag-Pt bimetallic nanoparticles with high catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided a low-cost and environment-friendly method to prepare a high active electrocatalyst with cheaper price, and also disclosed the correlation between surface structures and ORR catalytic activity for the hollow structures with Pt skin coat, which can be instructive for designing novel advanced electrocatalysts for fuel cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Platinum Nanoparticles Dispersed on High-Surface-Area Roelike Nitrogen-Doped Mesoporous Carbon for Oxygen Reduction Reaction
TL;DR: The high price of fuel cells is mainly attributed to the low catalytic efficiency and short working life of the state-of-the-art commercial catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction as mentioned in this paper.

Silver/platinum alloy nanometer material with porous hollow structure and preparing method thereof
Jinbao Zhao,Tao Fu,Fang Jun +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a preparation method for a silver/platinum alloy nanometer material with a porous hollow structure and a preparing method thereof was proposed, and the preparation method consisted of 1) preparing sodium citrate solution, adding inorganic silver salt precursor, mixing the inorganic salt precursor to obtain mixed liquor, and 2) adding sodium borohydride to mix continuously to obtain silver seed crystal solution; and 3) adding polyvinylpyrrolidone and ascorbic acid into the solution prepared from the step 1) and cooling, centrifuging and
