Mode-Locked Tm–Ho-Codoped Fiber Laser at 2.06 $\mu$ m

TL;DR: In this paper, a mode-locked Tm-Ho-codoped fiber laser was demonstrated at the wavelength beyond 2.8 μm with a pulse energy of 0.41 nJ and a pulse duration of 1.1 ps.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectral properties of erbium-doped lead halotellurite glasses for 1.5 μm broadband amplification

TL;DR: The spectral properties of the Er 3+ -doped lead halotellurite glasses, PbX 2 -TeO 2 (X=F, Cl, Br), were measured and analyzed with Judd-Ofelt and McCumber theories.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance of high-concentration Er/sup 3+/-Yb/sup 3+/-codoped phosphate fiber amplifiers

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of high-concentration erbium-doped fiber amplifiers with copumping was investigated. And the results showed that a 3.6 cm-long fiber, 18dB internal gain, i.e., 5 dB/cm, for small signal input at 1535 nm, achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of relative alkali content on absorption linewidth in erbium-doped tellurite glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of relative alkali content on absorption linewidth in erbium-doped tellurite glasses was investigated, and the highest effective linwidth was obtained from glass samples with mixed alkali molar ratio of Na 2 O/Li 2 O=1, Na 2 OD/K 2 OD=1 and K OD/L 2 OD = 1.
Journal ArticleDOI

All-fiber Q-switched single-frequency Tm-doped laser near 2 μm

TL;DR: In this article, an all-fiber Q-switched single-frequency laser oscillator operating in the eye-safe region at 1950 nm was presented, based on the stress-induced polarization modulation in a Tm-doped distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser.
