Flexural strength of alumina ceramics: weibull analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, flexural strength of CIP high purity alumina ceramics was determined by the three-point bend test, and it was found that flexural strengths show a large variation and can be described by a two-parameter Weibull distribution function.
Book ChapterDOI

Metal nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes—perfect antimicrobial nano-fillers in polymer-based food packaging materials

TL;DR: In this article, the most important questions related to metallic nanoparticles in food packaging (health and environmental considerations, performance, and costs), with the special emphasize on their applicable and toxicological properties.

Influence of laser sintering parameters on mechanical properties of polymer products

TL;DR: In this paper, a brief overview of Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and how the machine parameters (layer thickness, speed and power of laser) influence the mechanical properties of materials (tensile properties and hardness).
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical spectroscopy of PVCN with increasing cross-linking degree

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of cross-linking on the dynamics of amorphous poly(vinyl cinnamate) (PVCN) below and above the glass transition temperature (Tg) was studied by means of mechanical spectroscopy.
