Reducing Fuel Subsidies and the Implication on Fiscal Balance and Poverty in Indonesia: A Simulation Analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the relationship between existing fuel subsidies and fiscal balance and analyzed the poverty impact of phasing out fuel subsidies, and found that removing 25% of fuel subsidies increases the incidence of poverty by 0.259 percentage points.

TL;DR: Although there is no single policy that can ensure that informal sector workers (PBPU members) regularly pay their premiums, this study recommends some policy interventions, including flexibility in applying for a government subsidy for premiums, especially for people who have financial hardship.
