Strong exciton–photon coupling in an organic semiconductor microcavity
David G. Lidzey,Donal D. C. Bradley,M. S. Skolnick,Tersilla Virgili,Stuart D. Walker,D. M. Whittaker +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, an organic semiconductor microcavity that operates in the strong-coupling regime was shown to have characteristic mixing of the exciton and photon modes (anti-crossing), and a room-temperature vacuum Rabi splitting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Room Temperature Polariton Emission from Strongly Coupled Organic Semiconductor Microcavities
David G. Lidzey,Donal D. C. Bradley,Tersilla Virgili,A. Armitage,M. S. Skolnick,Stuart D. Walker +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a room temperature study of the strong exciton-photon coupling regime in a planar microcavity, containing cyanine dye aggregates with delocalized exciton wave functions ( $J$ aggregates), was performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient Energy Transfer from Blue to Red in Tetraphenylporphyrin‐Doped Poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene) Light‐Emitting Diodes
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast polariton relaxation dynamics in an organic semiconductor microcavity
Tersilla Virgili,David M. Coles,Ali M. Adawi,Caspar Clark,Paolo Michetti,Sai Kiran Rajendran,Daniele Brida,Dario Polli,Giulio Cerullo,David G. Lidzey +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast intrachain photoexcitation of polymeric semiconductors.
TL;DR: It is shown that higher-lying optical states, reached by multiphoton transitions, give rise to on-chain charge separation on the ultrafast time scale and the intrachain charge pair decays geminately within 500 fs to the lowest singlet state.
