Air conditioner for car

Abstract: PURPOSE:To utilize the inside of an assistant-side instrument panel by arranging, at the center part inside a front instrument plate, an air conditioner unit equipped with an upper wind passage equipped with a heater core inside an air conditioner case and a lower wind passage equipped with a coolant evaporator, in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Inside an air conditioner unit 1, an upper wind passage 13 which serves as warm-wind passage which passes through an upper heater core 3 and a lower wind passage 4 which serves as cold-wind passage which passes through a lower coolant evaporator 2 are arranged in parallel, and a temperature adjusting damper 15 which distributes the introduced air in an arbitrary ratio into the both passages 13 and 14 is installed inside a ventilation-wind introducing inlet 12. As for the air flow inside the air conditioner unit 1, the air introduced into the lower wind passage 14 passes through the coolant evaporator 2 and forms cold wind, and the air introduced into the upper wind passage 13 passes through the heater core 3 and heat-exchanges with the heater core 3 and forms warm wind, which is mixed with the cold wind in a mixing chamber 4, and the temperature becomes proper. Therefore, the dimension of depth of a case for air conditioning can be reduced, and arrangement of other equipment for car is permitted.
