Development of an arrayed multi-coil eddy current testing probe with the help of numerical simulation

TL;DR: In this paper, a newly developed arrayed multi-coil probe for the testing of steam generator tubes by eddy current testing was described. And the signals of this probe were predicted by the edge based finite element method, and comparison between experimental and numerical results showed good agreement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probabilistic evaluation of EMAR signals to evaluate pipe wall thickness and its application to pipe wall thinning management

TL;DR: In this article, a probabilistic model correlating the true and evaluated wall thicknesses was proposed on the basis of the results of laboratory experiments to measure 38 artificially corroded carbon steel plates.

Nondestructive detection of local material thinning in ferromagnetic materials by Magnetic Adaptive Testing

TL;DR: In this paper, a non-destructive method called Magnetic Adaptive Testing (MAGT) was applied for detecting local material in a thick, L-shaped ferromagnetic carbon steel, which simulated T-tubes with reinforcing plates.
