Journal ArticleDOI

Partial Oxidation of Methane Using the Redox of Cerium Oxide

TL;DR: In this paper, a direct conversion of methane into synthesis gas of H2/CO ratio of 2 has been demonstrated using CeO2 as an oxidant at 873-1073 K. The reaction was accelerated in the presence of Pt black (1 wt%).
Book ChapterDOI

The production of synthesis gas by the redox of cerium oxide

TL;DR: In this article, the reduction of cerium oxide, CeO 2−x, to CO 2 was studied under atmospheric pressure at 673 to 1073 K. The reaction of step 1 occurred at ≥873 K producing H 2 and CO with the ratio of 2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrocatalytic synthesis of propylene oxide during water electrolysis

TL;DR: In this article, a new method for the synthesis of propylene oxide using nascent oxygen generated during the electrolysis of water has been proposed, which was more effective for epoxidations of 1-hexene and cis-and trans-2-hexenes.
