Identification of highly oxygenated organic molecules and their role in aerosol formation in the reaction of limonene with nitrate radical
Andreas Wahner,Thomas F. Mentel,Sungah Kang,Keijiro Otsuka,Xuejun Fan,Pavan Vilas Rayar,Angela K. Turner,Yucheng Wu,Maryam,Zhengguang Wang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the role of highly oxygenated organic molecules (HOM) in secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation in the reaction of limonene with nitrate radical (NO3) in the SAPHIR chamber.
Journal ArticleDOI
The pressure dependence of the OH anharmonicity constant of perfluoro-tertbutanol in non solar solvents.
TL;DR: In this paper, the anharmonicity of th OH stretching vibration of monomeric perfluoro-tertbutanol has been found to be constant up to pressures of 9 GPa in polychlorotrifluoroethene solutions.
Posted ContentDOI
Modelling the contribution of biogenic VOCs to new particle formation in the Jülich plant atmosphere chamber
Li Liao,M. Dal Maso,Ditte Mogensen,Pontus Roldin,Anton Rusanen,V.-M. Kerminen,Thomas F. Mentel,Jürgen Wildt,Einhard Kleist,Astrid Kiendler-Scharr,Ralf Tillmann,Mikael Ehn,Markku Kulmala,Michael Boy +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a survey of the literature in this area: https://www.referred.org.au/blog/blogging-and-blogging/
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Does the onset of new particle formation occur in the planetary boundary layer
Hanna E. Manninen,Sander Mirme,Mikael Ehn,Katri Leino,Siegfried Schobesberger,Heikki Junninen,Emma Järvinen,Juha Kangasluoma,Tuomo Nieminen,Ralf Tillmann,Federico Angelini,Gian Paolo Gobbi,Aadu Mirme,Stefano Decesari,Andreas Wahner,Tuukka Petäjä,Douglas R. Worsnop,Franz Rohrer,Thomas F. Mentel,Markku Kulmala +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first steps of new particle formation in the atmosphere were detected directly by measuring chemical and physical processes within the planetary boundary layer (PBL) (altitudes up to 1 km).
Journal ArticleDOI
A Four Carbon Organonitrate as a Significant Product of Secondary Isoprene Chemistry
Epameinondas Tsiligiannis,Rongrong Wu,Ben H. Lee,Christian Mark Garcia Salvador,Michael Priestley,Philip T. M. Carlsson,Sung Lae Kang,Anna Novelli,Luc Vereecken,Hendrik Fuchs,Alfred W. Mayhew,Jacqueline F. Hamilton,Peter Edwards,Juliane L. Fry,Bellamy Brownwood,Steven S. Brown,Robert Wild,Thomas J. Bannan,Hugh Coe,James Allan,Jason D. Surratt,Asan Bacak,Paulo Artaxo,Carl J. Percival,Songjun Guo,M. S. Hu,Tao Wang,Thomas F. Mentel,Joel A. Thornton,Mattias Hallquist +29 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors show that the organonitrates with the chemical formula C4H7NO5 are a significant fraction of isoprene-derived ONs, based on chamber experiments and ambient measurements from different sites around the globe.
