Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of fibrinogen levels on thromboelastometric variables in the presence of thrombocytopenia.
Thomas Lang,Kai Johanning,Helfried Metzler,Siegfried Piepenbrock,Cristina Solomon,Niels Rahe-Meyer,Kenichi A. Tanaka +6 more
TL;DR: Clot strength increases in a fibrinogen concentration-dependent manner independent of platelet count, when analyzed by ROTEM, suggesting that EXTEM® (extrinsic activation) and FIBTEM may be useful in guiding fibr inogen repletion therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multicentric comparison of single portion reagents and liquid reagents for thromboelastometry.
Niels Rahe-Meyer,Cristina Solomon,Matthias Vorweg,Sandra Becker,Katja Stenger,Michael Winterhalter,Thomas Lang +6 more
TL;DR: The SPR reagents showed excellent stability against thermic stress and the measurements were easier to perform than with the conventional liquid reagents system.
