Heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of inclined elliptical fin tube heat exchanger of varying ellipticity ratio using CFD code
TL;DR: In this article, a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) investigation of the friction and heat transfer characteristics of a fin tube heat exchanger having elliptical tubes of various ellipticity ratio and orientation of these tubes to the horizontal are analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical and experimental investigation on 25 cm2 and 100 cm2 PEMFC with novel sinuous flow field for effective water removal and enhanced performance
Magesh Kannan Vijayakrishnan,Karthikeyan Palaniswamy,Jegathishkumar Ramasamy,Thanarajan Kumaresan,Karthikeyan Manoharan,Thundil Karuppa Raj Rajagopal,Thandavarayan Maiyalagan,Vasanth Rajendiran Jothi,Sung Chul Yi +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a novel sinuous flow field was proposed to address water lodging at cathode (a scaling issue) by scaling up of PEMFC from 25 cm2 to 100 cm2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental investigations of ethanol blended biodiesel fuel on automotive diesel engine performance, emission and durability characteristics
TL;DR: In this paper, a single-cylinder high speed automotive diesel engine for the ethanol blended biodiesel fuel (B5E20) was tested and the results showed a significant loss in maximum brake power and maximum brake torque at the end of 500h durability run when the engine was fuelled with B5E 20.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical investigation on the effect of flow field and landing to channel ratio on the performance of PEMFC
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical investigation of sloshing in tank with horivert baffles under resonant excitation using CFD code
TL;DR: In this paper, Horivert baffles, a combination of horizontal and vertical baffles that are placed at the variable mass region of the tank were considered for the sloshing analysis.
