Journal ArticleDOI
Active dielectric metasurface based on phase-change medium
Cheng Hung Chu,Ming Lun Tseng,Jie Chen,Pin Chieh Wu,Pin Chieh Wu,Yi-Hao Chen,Hsiang-Chu Wang,Hsiang-Chu Wang,Ting-Yu Chen,Wen Ting Hsieh,Hui Jun Wu,Greg Sun,Din Ping Tsai,Din Ping Tsai +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the phase-change material Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST) alloy was used to construct all-dielectric metamolecules with tunable optical response when phase change occurs on select constituent GST rods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Versatile Polarization Generation with an Aluminum Plasmonic Metasurface
Pin Chieh Wu,Wei Yi Tsai,Wei Ting Chen,Yao-Wei Huang,Ting-Yu Chen,Jia Wern Chen,Chun Yen Liao,Cheng Hung Chu,Greg Sun,Din Ping Tsai,Din Ping Tsai,Din Ping Tsai +11 more
TL;DR: The versatility and compactness of the MPG capable of transforming any incident wave into light beams of arbitrary polarizations over a broad spectral range are an important step forward in achieving a complete set of flat optics for integrated photonics with far-reaching applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vertical split-ring resonator based anomalous beam steering with high extinction ratio.
Wei-Lun Hsu,Pin Chieh Wu,Jia Wern Chen,Ting-Yu Chen,Bo Han Cheng,Wei Ting Chen,Yao-Wei Huang,Chun Yen Liao,Greg Sun,Din Ping Tsai +9 more
TL;DR: This work explores the functionality of beam steering with phase modulation by tuning only the vertical dimension of the VSRRs and shows that anomalous steering reflection of a wide range of angles can be accomplished with high extinction ratio using the finite-difference-time-domain simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Active dielectric metasurface based on phase-change medium (Laser Photonics Rev. 10(6)/2016)
Cheng Hung Chu,Ming Lun Tseng,Jie Chen,Pin Chieh Wu,Yi-Hao Chen,Hsiang-Chu Wang,Ting-Yu Chen,Wen Ting Hsieh,Hui Jun Wu,Greg Sun,Din Ping Tsai +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Material-assisted metamaterial: a new dimension to create functional metamaterial
Wei Yi Tsai,Chih Ming Wang,Ching-Fu Chen,Pin Chieh Wu,Yi-Hao Chen,Ting-Yu Chen,Pei Ru Wu,Jia Wern Chen,Din Ping Tsai,Din Ping Tsai,Din Ping Tsai +10 more
TL;DR: By combining both designed structured resonance and inherent property of the based materials, a low angle-dependent metasurface with a Q-value of 40 has been demonstrated, which will be useful for high sensitivity sensing and narrow band thermal emitter.
