Kupac želi, traži i ocekuje sve vise, a cilj TQM-a je upravo udovoljiti svim potrebama kupaca, približiti u potpunosti ponudu proizvođaca tržisnoj potražnji. Cilj rada je objasniti vezu TQM i poslovne izvrsnosti. Posebno se obrađuju dva indikatora poslovne izvrsnosti – produktivnost rada i konkurentnost, i to kroz perspektivu Menadžmenta kvalitete.

Total Quality Management and Business Excellence

Labor complications often lead to maternal death. A good antenatal care can reduce maternal and infant mortality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between antenatal care and labor complication among Indonesian’s mothers. Data of the Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2012 from 33 Provinces were used in this study. Samples consisted of 11.803 women aged 15-49 years who delivered baby at sometimes during the last 5 years before survey. A cross-sectional design was used.  Variables in the study consisted of dependent variable (labor complication), main independent variable (antenatal care) and potential confounder variables including   maternal age in the last labor, mother’s education, number of parity, preceding birth interval, birth attendance, place of delivery, a history of pregnancy complications, history of previous labor complication and multiple pregnancies. A logistic regression was used for analyzing data. Results of this study showed that the prevalence of labor complications was 49.2% and the prevalence of poor antenatal cares (do not use a standard criteria recommended by Indonesian Health Ministry) was 91.2%. After controlling for all potential confounder variables, this study showed that, mothers with a poor antenatal care had a 1.3 times higher risk of labor complications than mothers with a good antenatal care (POR 1.3, 95% CI: 1.1 - 1.4).

Children during the COVID-19 pandemic: children and young people’s vulnerability and wellbeing in Indonesia

Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the highest under-five mortality and low childhood immunization region in the world. Children in Sub-Saharan Africa are 15 times more likely to die than children from high-income countries. In sub-Saharan Africa, more than half of under-five deaths are preventable through immunization. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the determinant factors of full childhood immunization among children aged 12–23 months in sub-Saharan Africa. Data for the study was drawn from the Demographic and Health Survey of nine sub-Saharan African countries. A total of 21,448 children were included. The two-level mixed-effects logistic regression model was used to identify the individual and community-level factors associated with full childhood immunization The prevalence of full childhood immunization coverage in sub-Saharan Africa countries was 59.40% (95% CI: 58.70, 60.02). The multilevel logistic regression model revealed that secondary and above maternal education (AOR = 1.38; 95% CI: 1.25, 1.53), health facility delivery (AOR = 1.51; 95% CI: 1.41, 1.63), fathers secondary education and above (AOR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.11, 1.48), four and above ANC visits (AOR = 2.01; 95% CI: 1.17, 2.30), PNC visit(AOR = 1.55; 95% CI: 1.46, 1.65), rich wealth index (AOR = 1.26; 95% CI: 1.18, 1.40), media exposure (AOR = 1.11; 95% CI: 1.04, 1.18), and distance to health facility is not a big problem (AOR = 1.42; 95% CI: 1.28, 1.47) were significantly associated with full childhood immunization. The full childhood immunization coverage in sub-Saharan Africa was poor with high inequalities. There is a significant variation between SSA countries in full childhood immunization. Therefore, public health programs targeting uneducated mothers and fathers, rural mothers, poor households, and those who have not used maternal health care services to promote full childhood immunization to improve child health. By enhancing institutional delivery, antenatal care visits and maternal tetanus immunization, the government and other stakeholders should work properly to increase child immunization coverage. Furthermore, policies and programs aimed at addressing cluster variations in childhood immunization need to be formulated and their implementation must be strongly pursued.

Introduction: Anaemia in female adolescents tends to have a negative impact that is likely to later arise in pregnancy, labour and childbirth The prevalence of iron deficiency anaemia in female adolescents in Indonesia is thirty percent Indonesia runs an iron tablet program for female adolescents However, with the running of the program, it is not clear what factors are correlated with the intention of iron tablet consumption among female adolescents The purpose of this study was to analyse the factors correlated with the intention of iron tablet consumption among female adolescents Methods: This research used a cross-sectional design The sample consisted of 100 students in senior high school in Surabaya, chosen by proportional random sampling The independent variables were parent income, knowledge, perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, perceived threats, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and perceived self-efficacy The dependent variable was female adolescent intention related to consuming iron tablets The data was collected using a questionnaire and analysed by a chi square test with a level of significance α<005 Results: There was a significant correlation between perceived threat (p=002), perceived benefit (p=001), perceived barrier (p=002) and perceived self-efficacy (p=000) and female adolescent intention related to consuming iron tablets There was no correlation between parental income, adolescent knowledge, perceived susceptibility, and perceived seriousness with the intention to consume iron tablets Conclusion: From this research, it has been concluded that the factors related to the intention to consume iron tablets in female adolescents were perceived threat, perceived benefit, perceived barrier and perceived self-efficacy Increasing the confidence of female adolescents in association with the importance of avoiding anaemia by consuming iron tablets is crucial so then they can maintain their health and prevent diseases due to anaemia later on

Factors Correlated with the Intention of Iron Tablet Consumption among Female Adolescents

Introduction The low rate of completed immunization increas babies morbidity. Analysis of parent’s adherence in giving complete basic immunization to their baby is need to be done. The purpose of this study was to parent’s adherence in giving complete basic immunization to their baby at Puskesmas Kenjeran in Surabaya. Method In this study description analysis research method was used. The sample  of this research was 36 mothers having a baby with age 4-11 months and came to get immunizatin for their baby. The instrument of this research was modified questionnaire based on Planned Behavior Theory. Data collected analysis used multiple regression with significance value α≤0,05. Result The result of double linier regression test is p(Sig.) = 0,000 <0,05 and coefficient determination score (R Square) is 0,837. Partial test result for attitute variable scored (p=0,016), subjective norm variable scored (p=0,013), perseption variable scored (p=0,012), and intention variable scored (p=0,042). Discussion According to this research we can conclude that factors of parent’s adherence which are attitute, subjective norm, perception and intention partially and stimulantaneously affected parent’s adherence in giving basic immunization to their baby. Health education to parents about giving basic immunization for baby should be increased in order to prevent a variety of diseases that can be prevented by immunization.

Introduction. Cervical cancer diagnosis has been a major burden both for patients and their family. For patients, cervical cancer obliterated some of their role as a wife and a mother. Most patients with advance cancer have low score of quality of life indicating they have problems. Family must take care of their beloved ones dealing with the diagnosis, treatment, and side effects of cervical cancer. Family as a caregiver might be ill prepared to undertake that role. The objective of this research was to identify the correlation of family health task on quality of life in patients with cervical cancer. Methods. This research employed cross-sectional design. Population in this research was all patients with cervical cancer in gynecology ward Dr Soetomo Hospital in Surabaya. Participant for this research were patients with cervical cancer and their family. Data were taken by structured interview using Fact Cx for Quality of life and family health task question form. Linear regression analysis was applied with level of significance ≤0.05. Results. Most family had moderate level of family health task while most patients also have moderate level of quality of life. Unfortunately there are no significance correlations of family health task on quality of life in patients with cervical cancer. Discussion. Quality of life in patient with cervical cancer was not affected directly by their family health task. Nonetheless patient gratefully thanks family for their support during their cancer treatments.

Pendahuluan: Angka kejadian kanker serviks yang masih cukup tinggi dipengaruhi oleh perilaku deteksi dini yang masih rendah. Beberapa puskesmas di kota Surabaya telah memiliki program pemeriksaan IVA tes, namun capaian masih rendah karena motivasi ibu untuk melakukan deteksi dini masih kurang. Metode: Reproductive Organ Self Examination (ROSE) merupakan metode sederhana yang dapat dilakukan oleh para ibu sendiri untuk melakukan mengetahui adanya masalah di organ reproduksinya.  Pendidikan kesehatan perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang kanker serviks. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan perilaku ibu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mulyorejo  dalam melakukan deteksi dini kanker serviks melalui metode IVA serta teknik ROSE. Metode pelaksanaan adalah dengan penyuluhan materi kanker serviks dan ROSE, dan dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab dengan peserta. Kegiatan pemeriksaan IVA tes juga  dilakukan langsung setelah pelaksanaan penyuluhan.. Hasil: Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dalam melakukan deteksi dini kanker serviks. Beberapa ibu bersedia untuk melakukan pemeriksaan IVA tes menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan motivasi setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan. Kesimpulan: pelatihan deteksi dini kanker serviks melalui metode ROSE dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam melakukan deteksi dini dalam upaya mengendalikan kanker serviks. Setelah pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan ibu akan tetap rutin melakukan deteksi dini dengan didukung peran aktif kader dan tenaga kesehatan.
