Indonesia is a member of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) that should own the quality of human resources. The education is the key to answer the demand of AEC. SMK Negeri 1 Bukiittingi, SMK PGRI Tanjung Raja and SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras were institutions that ensure alumnus to world industry. Here we explored the strategy of headmaster on making educational quality toward AEC. We used qualitative phenomenology method in this article. To get the data, we used interview and document study. The results obtained indicate that the strategy of headmasters were upgrading teachers’ competence, upgrading students’ competence, developing curriculum and improving infrastructure.

This study originated from the results of a preliminary study that the Headmaster of State Vocational school (SMK) 6 Palembang has an important role and function in achieving the vision, mission and goals of education. One form of competency development is developing entrepreneurship at State Vocational school 6 Palembang. The purpose of this study was to analyze entrepreneurial competency of the headmaster of State Vocational school 6 Palembang in preparing vocational students for entrepreneurship. This study uses a qualitative research model. The subjects in this study were the heads of State Vocational school 6 Palembang. The results of this study concluded that entrepreneurial competency of the headmaster of State Vocational school 6 Palembang played an important role in advancing the school. From the results of the Headmasters' entrepreneurial competency indicators in terms of innovative and creative competencies, it shows that Headmasters create new ideas/ideas about school plans and programs. The headmaster of the Palembang 6th State Vocational School cooperates with several industries. The Headmaster's entrepreneurial competency in terms of hard work competency, shows that the headmaster of State Vocational school 6 Palembang is always on time and comes home later than the teacher and staff, never satisfied with the success of the school, and works and is responsible as the Headmaster. The Headmaster's entrepreneurial competency in terms of motivational competency, efforts made such as the frequent holding of seminars with the release of famous entrepreneurs, invites alumni who have succeeded in entrepreneurship and are also given honorariums if these students get a large number of orders so the students become more enthusiastic and motivated. The Headmaster's entrepreneurial competency in terms of abstinence, this shows that when failing activities, the Headmaster builds up and rises to complete, the Headmaster is principled towards good direction for school, the Headmaster is calm and in no hurry to take action, and the Headmaster follows and applies the development of science and technology through the media. Headmaster’s Competency In Preparing Vocational School Students For Entrepreneurship

The creativity of children will be able to grow whether the school can provide space for creativity. Child-friendly schools are school concepts that give protect students from violence, discrimination and unnatural treatments. It provides assurance and fulfill the rights of students such giving students space for creativity. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 109 Palembang. This study aimed at determining how the school provides creativity space to students through child friendly school’s program. This research was descriptive qualitative, which investigate how to give creativity room to student in a child friendly school’s program. The instruments of collecting data were interview, documentation, and observation. The results obtained indicate that the school provided space for students’ creativity through learning strategy and school’s environment approach. Based on this program, the students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang have been able to show their creativity attitude through problem solving while in learning activities and outside learning activities. Child-friendly schools should ensure every student's opportunity to enjoy his/her rights in education without discrimination based on disability, gender, ethnicity, religion, type of intelligence, and parental background. Child-friendly schools should also consider safe, clean and healthy school situations, caring and cultured, living environment, respect the rights and protection of students from violence, discrimination and other unfair treatment, and ensure the participation of students in planning, policy, learning, supervision, and complaint mechanism related to the fulfillment of rights and protection of students in education.

Giving Creativity Room To Students Through The Friendly School’s Program

This paper focuses on the development and prospect of ASEAN economic community. As compared with FTA, economic community is a more advanced form of regional economic cooperation. It entails not only the free movement of goods, capital and labor resources, but also the gradual coordination of domestic and foreign economic policies among member countries. In view of the vast disparities within ASEAN and some limitations in its cooperation mechanism, the development of ASEAN economic community is faced with numerous difficulties and challenges.

On ASEAN Economic Community

This paper aimed at determining the influence of academic qualifications, work experience and work motivation of teachers towards the principals’ performance. This research was carried out in Primary Schools in Kalidoni, Palembang. The paper used the partial correlation method. The sample in this study were 28 primary school principals in Kalidoni. The instrument in this study was questionnaire. The results of this study indicate there was significant effect of the principal's academic qualifications on the principal’s performance, where tcount 4,584 ≥ ttable 2,055; there was significant influence of work experience on the principal’s performance where tcount 11,360 ≥ ttable 2.055; there was significant effect of work motivation on the principal’s performance where tcount 6,564 ≥ ttable 2,055; and there was significant effect jointly between academic qualifications, work experience and work motivation on the principal’s performance, where the ANOVA test obtained Fcount 155,189 ≥ F table 3.24. It can be concluded that there was significant influence of academic qualifications, work experience and work motivation towards the principal’s performance of primary school in Kalidoni.

The Implementation Of Principals’ Academic Supervision In Improving Teachers’ Professionalism In The State Primary Schools

This study was based on the idea of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia that elementary and Secondary school should implement a full-day school system gradually. This study aimed at describing the characteristics of the full-day school based elementary school in MIUT Thawalib, Padang Panjang. This study was an inductive-qualitative research; case studies. The intruments in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation about research news, research results and theories related to the characteristics of the school-based full-day school at the elementary level. The materials were studied in this study were notes, transcripts, books, newspapers, magazines, and website. The results obtained indicate that full-day school at the primary level has applied "Integrated Curriculum". The objective of full-day school program is that students can make more progress in terms of learning which will certainly have a positive impact for them. The learning process should be active, creative, transformative and intensive. On the other hand, the learning process does not require students to analyze and study full time, but it is a system that does not burden nor boring. School hours and learning materials also conform to the national standard curriculum. Outside of school hours, learning activities will be related to general knowledge and development of the individual, such as music and religious activity or worship practices. In this system, it is also applied some exciting game formats in order to make the learning process full of joy for students to learn.
