Phylogenetic study of the genus Oceanospirillum based on 16S rRNA and gyrB genes: emended description of the genus Oceanospirillum, description of Pseudospirillum gen. nov., Oceanobacter gen. nov. and Terasakiella gen. nov. and transfer of Oceanospirillum jannaschii and Pseudomonas stanieri to Marinobacterium as Marinobacterium jannaschii comb. nov. and Marinobacterium stanieri comb. no.

TL;DR: In this paper, the phylogenetic relationships of Oceanospirillum strains were analyzed by using the nucleotide sequences of 16S rRNA and gyrB genes, and it was shown that the Oceanospirus core group consisted of four species, Oceanospirsum linum, Ocean-spiders maris, OceanSpiders beijerinckii, and OceanSpirus multiglobuliferum, with enough distance to separate them as different species.

Molecular Breeding of 2,3-Dihydroxybiphenyl 1,2-Dioxygenase for Enhanced Resistance to 3-Chlorocatechol

TL;DR: These sensitivities of enzyme activity and cell growth to 3-chlorocatechol were well correlated, and this phenomenon was employed in screening chimeric BphCs formed by family shuffling of bphC genes isolated from Comamonas testosteroni KF704 and C. testosteronia KF712.
