Journal ArticleDOI
Vascular endothelial growth factor A and cardiovascular disease in rheumatoid arthritis patients.
Luis Rodriguez-Rodriguez,Luis Rodriguez-Rodriguez,Mercedes García-Bermúdez,Carlos González-Juanatey,Tomas R. Vazquez-Rodriguez,José A. Miranda-Filloy,Benjamín Fernández-Gutiérrez,Javier Llorca,Javier Martín,M. A. González-Gay +9 more
TL;DR: No significant association between the VEGFA rs2010963 and the rs1570360 polymorphisms with clinically evident CV disease was found in this series of patients with RA, and this was also the case when the authors examined the contribution of these polymorphisms to the development of subclinical atherosclerosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of CD40 rs1883832 polymorphism in susceptibility to and clinical manifestations of biopsy-proven giant cell arteritis.
Luis Rodriguez-Rodriguez,Santos Castañeda,Tomas R. Vazquez-Rodriguez,Inmaculada C. Morado,Beatriz Marí-Alfonso,Carmen Gómez-Vaquero,José A. Miranda-Filloy,Javier Narváez,Norberto Ortego-Centeno,Ricardo Blanco,Benjamín Fernández-Gutiérrez,Javier Martín,Miguel A. González-Gay +12 more
TL;DR: A potential implication of the CD40 rs1883832 C/T polymorphism in susceptibility to visual ischemic manifestations in individuals with biopsy-proven giant cell arteritis is suggested.
Journal Article
Lack of association between LEP rs2167270 (19 G>A) polymorphism and disease susceptibility and cardiovascular disease in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Mercedes García-Bermúdez,Carlos González-Juanatey,Lu Rodríguez-Rodríguez,Tomas R. Vazquez-Rodriguez,José A. Miranda-Filloy,Benjamín Fernández-Gutiérrez,Jordi Llorca,J. Martín,M. A. González-Gay +8 more
TL;DR: LEP rs2167270 polymorphism does not seem to be a genetic risk factor for disease susceptibility or clinically evident CV disease and subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with RA.
Journal Article
Interleukin-1 beta gene polymorphism in patients with biopsy-proven erythema nodosum.
Mahsa M. Amoli,José A. Miranda-Filloy,Tomas R. Vazquez-Rodriguez,William E R Ollier,Miguel A. González-Gay +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an observational, retrospective study of 41 polyarticular JIA patients treated with anti-TNF therapy was conducted, where the authors assessed clinical remission, flare, ACR improvement, improvement of DAS-28, and JADAS.
Journal Article
Lack of association between macrophage migration inhibitory factor-173 gene polymorphism with disease susceptibility and cardiovascular risk in rheumatoid arthritis patients from northwestern Spain.
Rogelio Palomino-Morales,Carlos González-Juanatey,Tomas R. Vazquez-Rodriguez,Orlando Jorge Martins Torres,José A. Miranda-Filloy,Jordi Llorca,J. Martín,M. A. González-Gay +7 more
TL;DR: The results do not show that MIF-173 gene polymorphism may infer a direct risk for disease susceptibility or CV disease in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
