Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of the poor metabolizer-associated CYP2D6(D) gene deletion allele by long-PCR technology

TL;DR: A rapid assay which, for the first time, detects the 13kb Xba I gene deletion allele by the use of long-PCR technology and will improve the scientific and clinical use of CYP2D6 genotyping.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human CYP1A1 (cytochrome P(1)450) gene: lack of association between the Msp I restriction fragment length polymorphism and incidence of lung cancer in a Norwegian population.

TL;DR: No association between a Msp I polymorphism in the CYP1A1 gene and an increased risk of lung cancer was found, in contrast to a previous report by a Japanese group who found an association between the less common allele and an increase susceptibility to lung cancer in their population.
Journal ArticleDOI

GSTM1 and NAT2 polymorphisms in operable and non-operable lung cancer patients.

TL;DR: It is indicated that individuals with the GSTM1-null and/or NAT2-slow genotypes may constitute susceptible groups with increased risk to contract non-operable lung cancer at younger age and lower smoking dose.
