Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Mn-Co spinel coating for Fe-Cr ferritic alloys ZMG232L and 232J3 for solid oxide fuel cell interconnects on oxidation behavior and Cr-evaporation
TL;DR: In this paper, an improved Fe-Cr alloy with MnCo2O4 spinel oxide coating on the pre-oxidized Fe-cr ferritic alloy surface improved oxidation resistance and Cr-evaporation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffusion of oxygen in the scales of Fe–Cr alloy interconnects and oxide coating layer for solid oxide fuel cells
Teruhisa Horita,Haruo Kishimoto,Katsuhiko Yamaji,Yueping Xiong,Manuel E. Brito,Harumi Yokokawa,Yoshitaka Baba,Kei Ogasawara,Harukuni Kameda,Yoshio Matsuzaki,Satoshi Yamashita,Nobutaka Yasuda,Toshihiro Uehara +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the stable isotope oxygen (18 O 2 ) was used to visualize the diffusion profiles of oxygen in the oxide scales and coating layer of spinel spinels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical Stability of Ferritic Alloy Interconnect for SOFCs
Kei Ogasawara,Harukuni Kameda,Yoshio Matsuzaki,Teruhiro Sakurai,Toshihiro Uehara,Akihiro Toji,Natsuko Sakai,Katsuhiko Yamaji,Teruhisa Horita,Harumi Yokokawa +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a ferritic alloy interconnect was studied through solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack operation at intermediate temperatures, and certain pretreatment of the alloy surface proved to be effective for controlling initial degradation of the stack performance, presumably by the formation of stable and conductive oxide scale.

Maraging steel having high fatigue strength and maraging steel strip made of same
Toshihiro Uehara,Etsuo Fujita +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provided inexpensive maraging steel having high fatigue strength and a maraging strip formed by use of the same, consisting essentially, by mass, of not more than 0.008% C, from 0 inclusive but not more more than 2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Si and Al concentrations in Fe-Cr alloy on the formation of oxide scales in H2-H2O
Teruhisa Horita,Katsuhiko Yamaji,Harumi Yokokawa,Akihiro Toji,Toshihiro Uehara,Kei Ogasawara,Harukuni Kameda,Yoshio Matsuzaki,Satoshi Yamashita +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of silicon and aluminum concentrations in Fe-Cr alloys on the formation of oxide scales were examined in H2-H2O atmosphere for interconnects of solid oxide fuel cells.
