Polyvinyl alcohol film

TL;DR: In this paper, a polyvinyl alcohol film with an YI value of at most 20 has been proposed, which is formed of a modified polyvyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of from 1500 to 5000, an ethylene unit content of from 1 to 4 mol % and a 1,2-glycol bond content of 1.4 mol %, giving polarizing films that contain no impurities and have good polarization performance, durability and hue stability.

Polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer film

TL;DR: The PVA-based polymer film of the present invention is a film for producing a polarizing film, where the angle formed by a direction to uniaxially orient and an optical axis in producing polarizing films is in the range of 0 to 20° and where the retardation is between 50 to 150 nm as discussed by the authors.

Polyvinyl alcohol film for polarizing film, method for manufacturing the same, and method for manufacturing polarizing film using the same

TL;DR: In this article, a polyvinyl alcohol film which can be used for manufacture of a polarizing film having high polarizing performance and a method for manufacturing the same, and to provide a method using the same.

Method of manufacturing polarizing film

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of manufacturing a polarizing film is provided, where a PVA-based polymer film having a crystal long period of 14.5 to 16.0 nm in water is put through processes of dyeing, uniaxial stretching, dye fixing, and drying.
