Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical utility of coronary calcium scoring after nonischemic myocardial perfusion imaging.

TL;DR: Patients referred for CAC scoring after nonischemic MPI were identified as having CAD based on a CAC score greater than 100, allowing intervention with aggressive medical therapy, and patients who were reclassified were not easily identifiable by traditional risk factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Safety and efficacy of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty in patients with left ventricular dysfunction.

TL;DR: Data suggest that PTCA may be an effective treatment for coronary artery disease in patients with LV dysfunction, and Cox regression analysis identified 3-vessel disease, age greater than or equal to 70 years, class IV angina and incomplete revascularization as correlates of long-term mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictors of improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction with carvedilol for congestive heart failure.

TL;DR: Carvedilol significantly improved LVEF, especially in patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathy and those with recent onset of congestive heart failure, and Multivariable analysis identified NICM and recent onsetof congestiveHeart failure as correlates of improved LveF.
