Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical and experimental study on mechanical properties and flexural strength of fly ash-geopolymer concrete

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the mechanical properties of heat-cured low-calcium fly-ash geopolymer concrete and the behavior of geopolymers concrete beams using a flexural test with four-point bending, elastic theory, and a finite element model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analyzing the compressive strength of green fly ash based geopolymer concrete using experiment and machine learning approaches

TL;DR: In this article, two machine learning approaches are proposed for predicting the compressive strength of fly ash based geopolymer concrete, which can be used to build a standard mix, and for designing the mix proportions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of the mechanical properties of sea sand-based geopolymer concrete and the corrosion of embedded steel bar

TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion of steel bar embedded in the concrete subjected to accelerated corrosion tests, was investigated, and the test data revealed that for sea sand based geopolymer concrete, the compressive strength reached high values at an alkaline to fly ash ratio of 0.35-0.45.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation on properties of geopolymer mortar using preheated materials and thermogenetic admixtures

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed self-cured technologies for fly ash based geopolymer materials that are cured in ambient conditions without use of a heat resource, which is the traditional method to obtain mechanical properties of geopolymers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of Performance of Fiber Reinforced Geopolymer Composites by Experiment and Simulation Analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the experimental and simulation analysis of the performance of geopolymer composites reinforced with steel fiber and polypropylene fiber is investigated, and it is shown that the presence of fibers is an important factor related to the strength improvements.
