Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear-spin noise and spontaneous emission

TL;DR: Spontaneous emission from nuclear spins is measured for the first time, and the equivalence is obtained of predictions of Nyquist's theorem at all spin temperatures Ts and bath temperatures T in conformity with the predictions of the Einstein detailed balance equation for spontaneous emission.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear quadrupole resonance detected at 30 MHz with a dc superconducting quantum interference device

TL;DR: In this article, a dc superconducting quantum interference device is used as a tuned radio frequency amplifier at liquid helium temperatures to detect pulsed nuclear quadrupole resonance at ∼30 MHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear electric quadrupole induction of atomic polarization.

TL;DR: This technique provides information on the location and polarizability of atoms near nuclear quadrupole moments in noncentrosymmetric crystals.
Patent

Josephson junction Q-spoiler

TL;DR: An automatic Q-spoiler comprising at least one Josephson tunnel junction connected in an LC circuit for flow of resonant current therethrough is described in this article. But it is not shown how to detect the magnetic resonance of a gyromagnetic particle system.
