Increase in critical temperature of Bi2Sr2 CaCu2Ox superconductor due to alpha particle irradiation

TL;DR: A substantial increase in the transition temperature has been noted in Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O x superconductor after irradiation with 20 MeV alpha particles as mentioned in this paper, probably due to oxygen removal from an oxygen rich superconducting phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

SIMS of Y1Ba2Cu3O7-x and (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ superconductors

TL;DR: In this paper, secondary ion mass spectrometers of high T c superconducting materials have been studied and it has been found that the variation of secondary ion yield with respect to the bombarding ion energy, in general, shows a broad peak whose location depends on the ion-target combination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of bonding and valence states in YBa2Cu3O7−x through secondary‐ion‐mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this article, secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) was used to detect two kinds of copper in superconducting compound YBa2Cu3O7−x (YBCO).
