Mandy Geserick,Mandy Vogel,Ruth Gausche,Tobias Lipek,Ulrike Spielau,Eberhard Keller,Roland Pfäffle,Wieland Kiess,A. Körner +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the dynamics of body-mass index (BMI) in children from birth to adolescence are unclear, and whether susceptibility for the development of sustained obesity occurs at a specific time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI

Annette Keß,Ulrike Spielau,Christoph Beger,Ruth Gausche,Mandy Vogel,Tobias Lipek,Antje Körner,Roland Pfäffle,Wieland Kiess +8 more

Journal ArticleDOI

Stefan Ehehalt,Susanna Wiegand,Antje Körner,R. Schweizer,Klaus-Peter Liesenkötter,Carl-Joachim Partsch,Gunnar Blumenstock,Ulrike Spielau,Christian Denzer,Michael B. Ranke,Andreas Neu,Gerhard Binder,Martin Wabitsch,Wieland Kiess,Thomas Reinehr +14 more
TL;DR: In overweight and obese children and adolescents, HbA1c seems to be a more reliable screening tool than OGTT, according to the ROC analysis, which revealed for FPG an optimal threshold of 98 mg/dl and for Hb a best cut-off value of 42 mmol/mol to detect diabetes.
