Investigating the performance of thermonebulisation fungicide fogging system for loaded fruit storage room using CFD model

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of air circulation rate, circulation interval, bin design, stacking pattern and room design on deposition of fungicide was investigated for postharvest storage fungicide fogging systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Classification Learning of Latent Bruise Damage to Apples Using Shortwave Infrared Hyperspectral Imaging

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used machine learning classifiers, namely ensemble subspace discriminant (ESD), k-nearest neighbors (KNN), support vector machine (SVM), and linear discriminant analysis (LDA), to detect bruises at their latent stage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcriptomic changes associated with husk scald incidence on pomegranate fruit peel during cold storage.

TL;DR: This study investigates the scald incidence of pomegranate fruit at molecular level using RNA-Seq (Ion Proton™ Next Generation Sequencing) by analyzing peel transcriptomic changes and results obtained will add valuable information on husk scald related changes on pome granite fruit at genomic level and provide insight on other related physiological disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation of compression strength of ventilated corrugated citrus packaging

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effects of different storage conditions (−0.5°C at 90% RH; 4°c at 90%) RH, 10° C at 90%), on the mechanical performance of two types of ventilated packaging (Supervent and Standard) used for handling citrus fruit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of exogenous fludioxonil postharvest treatment on physiological response, physico-chemical, textural, phytochemical and sensory characteristics of pomegranate fruit

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of fludioxonil (FLU) on the postharvest quality of pomegranate fruit (cv. Wonderful) were investigated. And the results showed that fruit treated with FLU resulted in better sensory attributes with regards to crispness, juiciness and sweetness.
