In this study, the (copper sulfide)-carrageenan nanocomposite was grown from the interface of gel (Cu-complexed carrageenan) and liquid (sulfide solution). The thin film of the nanocomposite was coated on a platinum interdigitated electrode in order to be used as a relative humidity (RH) sensor. Data from the sensor was acquired by the low-cost, wireless and portable data acquisition hardware (DAQ) device built from the Arduino and 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. The LabVIEW VI was programmed to plot and save voltage output received from the prototype through Bluetooth communication. The sensor responses to RH variation were compared simultaneously with a reference sensor installed in the same prototype, which allows a real-time data acquisition of high accuracy. Importantly, the sensor exhibited a high reversibility as well as a linear response towards RH between 8% and 80 %.

Temperature and Humidity Observation System in ATmega8 Microcontroller-Based Homes

The main focus of this paper is to discuss how gas sensors are made using Arduino microcontroller. Arduino is a microcontroller by which many instruments can be made; from these we have made “Gas sensor”. In this authentic model a gas sensor model i.e. mq-6 gas sensor is used for sensing LPG gas from environment and allows user to be aware of the leakage of that. For being aware a buzzer is used to be aware of and interrupt the user to the hazards of the consumption of the destruction of gas leaking. This module will effective to detect LPG leakage in domestic purpose, factory, petrol pump etc.

Microcontroller Based LPG Gas Leakage Alert System

This research was conducted to design a room air humidity and temperature control device to complement the features of an economical air conditioner (AC), which can automatically regulate humidity and temperature. So that the ideal level of humidity and temperature is achieved under the ministry of health’s provisions on comfort and air quality in the room, namely 40-60% Relative Humidity (RH) and 18-26 oC. To realize this, the AM2301 sensor is used to read the temperature and humidity in the room. Then the readings from the AM2301 sensor will be processed by ESP32 and then displayed on the OLED display and in the Blynk application, with infra-red LED as an AC controller and ultrasonic mist maker as a room humidity tool. Based on the results of the tests, this design has succeeded in becoming an additional feature of economics that lacks the features of air comfort and health. It is time to reach the ideal humidity level of 40-60% RH on average within 1 hour and 16 minutes.

Here we report development of a zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods based humidity sensor prototype using Arduino Uno microcontroller platform. A commercial humidity sensor (DHT11) was also connected with the microcontroller to calibrate ZnO sensor. ZnO nanorods were grown hydrothermally on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated PET substrate. Nanorods were characterised with field emission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Sensors were exposed to 50%–80% relative humidity (RH) at room temperature. The sensor response was found to be 0–76%. Such low cost simple prototype development can open up opportunities for future realization of internet of things (IOT).
