Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of swirling recirculating reacting turbulent jets passing through diffusers

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of swirl strength, angle of diffuser, secondary mass flow, and combustion on the strength and size of the recirculation zone inside a diffuser is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Turbulence Measurements in Swirling Flows

TL;DR: A hot wire anemometer is used to measure the turbulence intensity using a four position method in this article, and it has been concluded that the jet spreads with increasing diffuser angle and the region of high turbulent intensity also spreads.
