Journal ArticleDOI

High concentration few-layer graphene sheets obtained by liquid phase exfoliation of graphite in ionic liquid

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of a commercial ionic liquid as a convenient solvent medium for graphite exfoliation in mild and easy conditions without any chemical modification is presented, and it is noteworthy that, by gravimetric analysis, a graphene concentration as high as 5.33 mg ml−1 was determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel docetaxel-loaded nanoparticles based on poly(lactide-co-caprolactone) and poly(lactide- co-glycolide-co-caprolactone) for prostate cancer treatment: formulation, characterization, and cytotoxicity studies

TL;DR: PLGA-PCL copolymer may be considered as an attractive and promising polymeric material for the formulation of Dtx NPs as delivery system for prostate cancer treatment, and can also be pursued as a validated system in a more large context.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stimuli Responsive Hydrogels Prepared by Frontal Polymerization

TL;DR: By comparison with analogous samples prepared by the classical polymerization technique, it was found that the two methods give rise to hydrogels characterized by very diverse swelling capability; furthermore, swelling reversibility was found to be different when temperature is allowed to cyclically vary between values that are below and above the lower critical solution temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide) hydrogels obtained by frontal polymerization

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the properties of poly(N, N -dimethylacrylamide) hydrogels obtained in bulk, water, or DMSO, and compared the obtained materials in terms of their yield, swelling behavior, thermal properties, and morphology.
