Influence of thermal treatment on phenolic compounds and antioxidant properties of oak acorns from Serbia
S. Rakic,Silvana Petrović,Jelena Kukić,Milka Jadranin,Vele Tešević,Dragan Povrenović,Slavica Šiler-Marinković +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated and compared phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of methanol extracts of Quercus robur and quercus cerris acorn kernels obtained before and after thermal treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
The most important bioactive components of cold pressed oil from different pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) seeds
TL;DR: The composition and content of certain bioactive components of the cold pressed oil obtained from six samples of pumpkin seeds (Cucurbita pepo L.) cultivated in Serbia were analyzed by GC and GC/MS as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oak acorn, polyphenols and antioxidant activity in functional food
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the results of physical and chemical investigations of differently treated samples of oak acorn, Quercus robur (belonging to Fagaceae family) in native and thermally treated forms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allelopathic potential of Allium ursinum L.
TL;DR: The results suggest that A. ursinum influences other herbaceous plants in plant community via soil and volatile compounds which inhibit seed germination and plant growth.
