HKUST-1 membranes on porous supports using secondary growth

TL;DR: In this article, a new seeding technique (thermal seeding) was developed to strongly anchor HKUST-1 seed crystals on porous α-alumina supports, which was found critical to have both organic ligands and copper species in the seed suspension as well as to seed the crystals at elevated temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic properties of dendron-OMS hybrids

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and catalytic testing of several dendron-ordered mesoporous silica hybrids are reported, and the results indicate that these materials can also catalyze more demanding chemistries, an example of which is the Aldol condensation of 5-(hydroxymethyl)furfural and acetone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amine-Functionalized Ordered Mesoporous Silica Transesterification Catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis, characterization, and catalytic behavior of several amine-functionalized ordered mesoporous silica (OMS) materials are reported. All samples show catalytic activity for the conversio...
