Influence of wear on the performance of a 2-lobe multirecess hybrid journal bearing system compensated with membrane restrictor

TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical study concerning the influence of wear on the performance of a membrane compensated 2-lobe four pocket hybrid journal bearing system has been presented, where the modified Reynolds equation governing the flow of lubricant in the clearance space of a journal bearing was solved using FEM and Newton-Raphson method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance analysis of a multirecess capillary compensated conical hydrostatic journal bearing

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of a 4-pocket hydrostatic conical journal bearing system was studied theoretically and numerically simulated results indicated that the lubricant flow rate is significantly reduced in case of conical bearing vis a vis the corresponding similar circular hydrostatic journal bearing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterizing domestic electricity consumption in the Indian urban household sector

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have analyzed the variation in the electricity consumption and the factors such as demographic and dwelling attributes which cause such variations, and found that electricity consumption in the Indian urban household is more responsive to ownership of air conditioner rather than demographic variables and other appliances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of wear on the performance of a multirecess conical hybrid journal bearing compensated with orifice restrictor

TL;DR: In this article, an analytical study concerning the influence of wear on the performance of a four pocket hybrid conical journal bearing compensated with an orifice restrictor has been presented, where the Reynolds equation governing the flow of lubricant in the clearance space of bearing has been solved using FEM and the Newton Raphson method.
Journal ArticleDOI

A bearing vibration data analysis based on spectral kurtosis and ConvNet

TL;DR: In this article, a fault classification method based on kurtogram and convolutional neural network (CNN) is proposed for rotating machine bearing failure detection, which is a measure of dispersion for time-frequency energy density which provides additional frequency contents information.
