Journal ArticleDOI

Functional cholinergic damage develops with amyloid accumulation in young adult APPswe/PS1dE9 transgenic mice.

TL;DR: The results indicate that functional pre- and postsynaptic cholinergic deficits are not present in APPswe/PS1dE9 transgenic mice before 10 weeks of age, but develop along with beta-amyloid accumulation in the brain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of the anisotropy of elastic waves monitored by a sparse sensor network

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of velocity anisotropy analysis based on conventional ultrasonic transmission technique is proposed, where multiple transducers are used both to monitor acoustic emission and to measure velocities in different propagation directions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Application of autocorrelation analysis for interpreting acoustic emission in rock

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the statistical properties of acoustic emission from rock samples as a function of applied uniaxial load and found that the parameters of the autocorrelation function of the acoustic emission event series change significantly near failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uncoupling of M1 muscarinic receptor/G-protein interaction by amyloid β(1-42).

TL;DR: The results provide strong evidence that the initial injurious effects of Aβ(1-42) on M1 muscarinic receptor-mediated transmission is due to compromised coupling of the receptor with G(q/11) G-protein.
