Coupling of two superconductors through a ferromagnet: evidence for a pi junction.
Vladimir Ryazanov,V.V. Oboznov,A. Yu. Rusanov,A. V. Veretennikov,Alexandre Avraamovitch Golubov,Jan Aarts +5 more
TL;DR: Measurements of the temperature dependence of the critical current, I(c), in Josephson junctions consisting of conventional superconducting banks of Nb and a weakly ferromagnetic interlayer of a CuxNi1-x alloy show a sharp cusp with decreasing temperature.
Coupling of Two Superconductors through a Ferromagnet
Jan Aarts,Alexandre Avraamovitch Golubov,V. A. Oboznov,Alexander Yu. Rusanov,Vladimir Ryazanov,A. V. Veretennikov +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Thickness dependence of the Josephson ground States of superconductor-ferromagnet-superconductor junctions.
TL;DR: The first experimental observation of the two-node thickness dependence of the critical current in Josephson junctions with a ferromagnetic interlayer is reported and a theoretical approach based on the Usadel equations taking into account the spin-flip scattering is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implementation of superconductor/ferromagnet/ superconductor [pi]-shifters in superconducting digital and quantum circuits
A. K. Feofanov,V. A. Oboznov,Vitaly V. Bolginov,Jürgen Lisenfeld,Stefano Poletto,Vladimir Ryazanov,A. N. Rossolenko,M. Khabipov,D Balashov,Alexander B. Zorin,P. N. Dmitriev,Valery P. Koshelets,Alexey V. Ustinov +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a superconducting loop with a thin ferromagnetic film creates a so-called π-Josephson junction that shifts the phase of a current flowing in the loop by 180°.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of the current-phase relation of superconductor/ferromagnet/superconductor π Josephson junctions
TL;DR: In this paper, the critical current of superconductor-ferromagnet-superconductor (SFS) Josephson junctions was determined by incorporating the junction into a superconducting loop coupled to a dc SQUID, allowing measurement of the junction phase difference.
