Molecular interactions in a unique solvent—solute system

TL;DR: In this article, a systematic study of the variables in gas chromatographic separation of enantiomeric substances using an optically active dipeptide stationary phase was conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

N-trifluoroacetyl-L-norvalyl-L-norvaline cyclohexyl ester as a stationary phase and its interaction with asymmetric solutes.

TL;DR: Separation factors and enthalpies of solution have shown a marked increase on solute-solvent interaction to occur for α-amino acids with a four-carbon group on the asymmetric carbon, while the same factors decrease as the substituent grows from one- to three-carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI

The separation of amino acid enatiomers on optically active dipeptide carborane stationary phases

TL;DR: In this paper, N-Trifluoroacetyl (TFA) dipeptide-o-carboranyl propyl esters of L-valyl-L-valine and L-α-amino-n-butyryl-Lα-α,amino nbutyric acid have been prepared and the properties of these two new stationary phases for the gas-liquid chromatographic sepaation of amino acid enantiomers have been examined.
