Measurement of Parity Nonconservation in pp Scattering at 45 MeV
R. Balzer,R. Henneck,Ch. Jacquemart,J. Lang,M. Simonius,W. Haeberli,Ch. Weddigen,W. Reichart,S. Jaccard +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the cross-sections of longitudinally polarized 45-MeV protons of positive and negative helicity were compared by comparing the cross sections with the cross section of a single particle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parity violation in proton-proton scattering at 45 MeV
R. Balzer,R. Henneck,Ch. Jacquemart,J. Lang,F. Nessi-Tedaldi,Th. Roser,M. Simonius,W. Haeberli,S. Jaccard,W. Reichart,Ch. Weddigen +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the parity nonconservation in the pp interaction was studied by elastic scattering of 44.8 MeV longitudinally polarized protons in an axially symmetric arrangement with a cylindrical ionization chamber and a Faraday cup.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved energy resolution of Van de Graaff accelerators
TL;DR: In this paper, it was found that increasing the gain band width of the voltage control circuit of a Van de Graaff accelerator greatly improves the obtainable energy resolution, and the resulting resolution measured at 1 MeV proton energy is 60 eV fwhm.
Journal ArticleDOI
A quantitative monitor for beam intensity and polarization profiles
W. Haeberli,R. Henneck,Ch. Jacquemart,J. Lang,R. Müller,M. Simonius,W. Reichart,Ch. Weddigen +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a beam profile monitor is described which permits a rapid quantitative determination of the beam intensity profiles I(x), I(y) in two directions (x, y) perpendicular to the beam, as well as the proton beam-polarization profiles Py(x, Py(y), Px(y).
